# About Local Laurels

Yearly local awards: three equal winners per service and city, chosen on the public record.

Most “best of” lists crown one winner and rank the rest. We think a single first place says little: a few points between two well-reviewed businesses won’t tell you which one will do your job better.

So each year we name three winners per service and city, and give each one the same award. They are chosen on their [public record](https://locallaurels.com/how-winners-are-chosen/), shown in random order, and celebrated for their own milestones.

The awards cannot be bought. See [how we make money](https://locallaurels.com/how-we-make-money/).

Each year, three local businesses per service and city win an equal award. They are shown in random order, never ranked, and nobody can pay to win.

Ratings and review counts come from public sources and are rechecked during the year. Sponsored placements are labelled and never affect who wins. © 2026 Local Laurels.
