# Terms of use

**Draft, to be reviewed before launch.**

An award states that a business had one of the three strongest public records for its service and city on the date shown. It is not a guarantee of any job. Badges may be shown only by the winner, only for the award year and only with the link to its winner page. Sponsored listings are always labelled.

Each year, three local businesses per service and city win an equal award. They are shown in random order, never ranked, and nobody can pay to win.

Ratings and review counts come from public sources and are rechecked during the year. Sponsored placements are labelled and never affect who wins. © 2026 Local Laurels.
