How we make money
The awards are free to read and free to win. Here is how they are paid for.
We earn money in three ways:
- Referral fees when you request quotes through the site.
- Optional upgrades to a winner page, such as photos and a longer description.
- Sponsored listings, always labelled and kept apart from the winners.
None of these affect who wins.
Money questions
Can a business pay to win?
No. Winners are chosen on their public record alone. A business that pays us for anything is chosen, or not, exactly as it would have been.
Does paying change where a winner appears on the page?
No. The three winners are shown in random order, shuffled again on every page view. There is no position to buy.
Are award badges paid?
No. Every winner can use its award badge free of charge, as long as it links back to its winner page.
